Movie Stars
A lovely little collection of my favorite movie stars. Enjoy!

Harrison Ford looking as handsome as ever!

Harrison Ford

From the perfectly adorable little scar on his chin to his sexy smirk, Harrison is one of Hollywood's long-time shining stars. :)  He has starred in 7 of the top 30 grossing films of all time(!) and although he was nominated for an Academy Award, he still hasn't received one.....yet!! I have a feeling that Harrison will be around for a long time...he'll bring home that golden statue one of these days! :)

My favorite Harrison Ford movies?
Witness (nominated for Best Actor in 1986), Clear and Present Danger, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Regarding Henry, Air Force One, The Fugitive

Ed Harris

"Why," a male friend asked me a few months ago, "do girls like Ed Harris so much?"  It seems to be a mystery to the men, but to the girls... it's no wonder that those baby blues of his has so many females flocking to the big screen to see him!  Even when he is playing a tough guy...in the end, the girls still see him as a sweetie and all we really want to do is just give him a big hug!!!

My favorite Ed Harris movies?
The Right Stuff, Places in the Heart, The Abyss, The Truman Show
Ed Harris

Mel Gibson

Mel Gibson

Whether he is rescuing characters off of exploding toilets (LW3) or fighting to free Scotland from English rule (Braveheart), Mel always seems to sizzle on-screen!  He has a very energetic personality and it definitely comes through in his movie roles...I try not too miss too many chances to get a peek at that mischievous twinkle in those blue eyes of his!

My favorite Mel Gibson movies?

Lethal Weapon 2 and 3, Conspiracy Theory, Maverick

George Clooney

"Ahh...George..."   I have been watching George since his early days on 80's TV shows, E/R and The Facts of Life.  Although I was disappointed that he is leaving ER this season, I am definitely looking forward to seeing much more of him at the movies (you get a much better view of him on the big screen, you know!)

My Favorite George Clooney Movies?

One Fine Day, The Peacemaker

George Clooney

Ben Kingsley

Ben Kingsley

A unique addition to my list favorite Hollywood men, but I love the way he carries himself....he almost has a regal presence about him.  I must admit, I did not see his performance in his Academy Award winning role of Gandhi, but I do have a few Ben Kingsley favorites.

My favorite Ben Kingsley Movies?

Dave, Sneakers, Searching for Bobby Fisher

.... Let's not forget the ladies....

Kate Hepburn

Katharine Hepburn

I have been a Kate Hepburn fan for as long as I can remember.  The very first movie I saw of hers was Little Women - one of my favorite books when I was a little girl. And I believe that, to this date, she has received the most Oscar nominations (12) and the most Oscar wins (4) in an acting category in history.

My favorite Katharine Hepburn movies?

Little Woman (although I liked the Winona Ryder version best), Desk Set, Adam's Rib, The Philadelphia Story (is there anyone who doesn't like Jimmy Stewart?)

Sandra Bullock

Sandra began her movie career quietly, starring in minor roles, until her blockbuster hit, Speed, with Keanu Reeves.  Since then she had been on the rise and has become one of my favorite movie actresses.

My Favorite Sandra Bullock Movies?

While you Were Sleeping, Speed, The Net, Hope Floats, A Time to Kill (you have to see the superb performance by the adorable Matthew McConaughey in this movie...he is the one who makes this movie so excellent!)

Sandra Bullock

Julia Roberts

Julia Roberts

Julia has been called "America's Sweetheart of the 90s"  Just like Sandra Bullock, she started her career quietly, but Pretty Woman was the one that brought her to everyone's attention and she continues to make quite a name for herself in Hollywood!

My Favorite Julia Roberts Movies?

Pretty Woman, My Best Friend's Wedding, Steel Magnolias (what my friend calls "That 'chick' movie!"), Runaway Bride

Gwyneth Paltrow

Gwyneth stars in one of my all-time favorite movies - Emma (based on the book by Jane Austen).  I was also very pleased to see her win the award for Best Actress at the Academy Awards this year for Shakespeare in Love!

My Favorite Gwyneth Paltrow Movies?

Emma, Sliding Doors, Shakespeare In Love

Gwyneth Paltrow

Meg Ryan

Meg Ryan

Meg is definitely one of my all-time favorite Hollywood stars!  At almost 38 years of age, she can still look so perky and cute on screen - especially when she is in a role opposite Tom Hanks!  The very first movie I saw her in was her small role as Anthony Edwards wife in Top Gun and I have seen almost all of her movies since then. (Visit my "Featured Movies" page for info about When Harry Met Sally)

My Favorite Meg Ryan Movies?

When Harry Met Sally, Sleepless in Seattle, You've Got Mail
